SPEAKERS:
Karina Goldberg, a partner at Ferro, Castro Neves, Daltro & Gomide Advogados in Brazil, specialized in commercial arbitration. She holds a Master’s Degree in European Private Law from Utrecht University and is currently member of the Court of Arbitration of SIAC.
Julio C. Rivera (h): joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2019 as a partner of the Litigation & Arbitration department. He specializes in complex commercial litigation, international and domestic commercial arbitration, insolvency and constitutional law. Julio César has been recognized by Chambers &Partners Latin America as a leading lawyer in Dispute Resolution in Argentina. He graduated in law with honors from the Universidad Católica Argentina in 1997, obtained an LL.M in Harvard law School (2000) and has a Ph.D in law in 2008 from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Julio is a Professor at the Universidad de San Andrés Law School, where he teaches the “International Investment Law” and “Commercial Arbitration” course. He is also Global Adjunct Professor of Law at New York University School of Law in the framework of NYU’s program in Buenos Aires.
Laura Sinisterra, is a partner in the International Dispute Resolution Group at Debevoise & Plimpton, in New York. Her practice focuses on international arbitration and international litigation, concentrating on the mining and energy sectors, in which she regularly handles complex disputes arising in Latin America. Ms. Sinisterra is on the board of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Arbitraje (ALARB), is Vice Chair of the International Arbitration Committee of the ABA’s International Law Section, is Vice Chair of the ITA’s Communication Committee and was the inaugural Chair of the ITA’s Young Mentorship Program. She received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and her law degree from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, graduating first in her class. Ms. Sinisterra is admitted to the New York and Colombian Bar Associations. Her native language is Spanish, she is fluent in English, and she has knowledge of French
Rodrigo Zamora, partner at Galicia Abogados in Mexico. He specializes in arbitration and leads the litigation practices. He has participated in dozens of arbitrations, both as counsel and as arbitrator, mainly before the ICC, the LCIA, and ICSID. He is members of several associations including the Mexican Committee of the ICC, FCIArb, LCIA. Rodrigo graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City) and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from New York University.
