ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
Peter Petho has extensive legal experience representing both domestic and international clients. Peter focuses his practice on arbitration and litigation, construction law, real estate transactions, and general commercial matters. Peter is a member of the Slovak Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), International Bar Association, and ‘below 40’ platforms of the ICC, LCIA, ICCA, Austrian Arbitration Association and Swiss Arbitration Association.
Monika Rafajová specialises mainly in commercial and civil litigation including arbitration, construction disputes and FIDIC related agenda. Within her practice oriented on business law, she frequently deals with business transactions (M & A), corporate law and real estate matters. Another key area of her practice is insolvency. Monika frequently advises both creditors and debtors in matters regarding bankruptcy and restructuring (preparation and during proceedings). Monika speaks Slovak (native), Czech (native), English (professional proeficiency) and French (fluent).
Hafez R. Virjee serves as an independent arbitrator. Dually-qualified (England & Wales / Paris), he has over 15 years of experience acting as arbitrator and counsel under the major rules of arbitration. The parties in his cases have spanned the range of listed companies, private equity firms, tech start-ups, industrial concerns, State entities and treaty organisations, in disputes across a wide range of sectors and relationships, including shareholder agreements, joint-ventures, agency, M&A, telecommunications, tech, energy, pharmaceutical, construction and defence. Hafez Virjee is native in English and French and based between London and Paris. He was listed in Who’s Who Legal/Lexology Index – Global Elite Thought Leaders – Arbitration (Under 45 – Partners) in 2024 and has been listed in Who’s Who Legal/Lexology Index – Arbitration since 2023, incl. among the most highly-regarded in 2023 and 2025 (previously listed in the category of Future Leaders in 2018-2022). According to Lexology, he has been described by peers as ‘highly responsive’ (2023), “an extremely professional and well-prepared arbitrator” with “great cross-border knowledge and expertise” (2022), an “extraordinarily talented arbitrator” (2021) and “one of the most creative minds in today’s arbitration community” (2020). He has also been recommended in Who’s Who Legal/Lexology – France – Arbitration since 2023. His work in the context of Delos Dispute Resolution (arbitration rules, publications, various initiatives) has been recognised through multiple GAR Award nominations (Innovation in 2018 (won), 2019, 2021 and 2022, and Pandemic Response in 2020). Hafez Virjee is a French national, born in Kenya and educated in the UK, France and the US. He regularly writes and speaks on international arbitration and legal risk management. MODERATOR
Eva Dragúňová‘s practice focuses on international and domestic dispute resolution, including commercial and investor-state arbitration and court litigation. Eva serves as counsel in disputes involving a wide range of sectors, institutions, arbitral rules and treaties. Her practical experience includes drafting substantive and procedural submissions in litigation cases and arbitration proceedings under the rules of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law Rules (UNCITRAL), working on assessments of prospective claims and representing clients at international arbitration hearings. In addition, Eva teaches a full semester course on international arbitration at the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava.
