Professor of International Arbitration, Private International Law and English Contract Law, and Director of the English Section at the Faculty of Law, Cairo University; Founding Partner and Head of International Arbitration, Construction and Energy Groups, Zulficar & Partners Law Firm (Egypt); International Judge of the Bahrain International Commercial Court (BICC); Global Past President of the CIArb (2025); Dean of the Africa Arbitration Academy; Member of the Curatorium of the Hague Academy of International Law; Member of the Governing Board (ICCA); Chair of the ICC Governing Body for Dispute Resolution Services. Served as ‘Arbitrator’, ‘Legal Expert’ and ‘Counsel’ in more than 285 cases, including complex, high value institutional and ad hoc arbitral proceedings involving parties from the Africa, Asia, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Latin America. Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab is a globally recognized authority on online dispute resolution (ODR), international arbitration, and the legal implications of AI. A founding member of the International Council for Online Dispute Resolution (ICODR), he regularly publishes and speaks on the intersection of technology, AI, and dispute resolution. He has held several leadership and advisory roles in the field, including serving as Senior Legal Consultant to Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency and as a Fellow of the National Centre for Technology and Dispute Resolution at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Member of the Inclusive Global Legal Innovation Platform on Online Dispute Resolution (iGLIP on ODR). Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Online Dispute Resolution and co-editor of the award-winning treatise Online Dispute Resolution: Theory and Practice. A leading scholar in ODR, AI, and international arbitration, he teaches and supervises research on technology-driven dispute resolution and has authored and edited several influential publications, including International Arbitration and the COVID-19 Revolution and the Abdel Wahab Pandemic Pathway to Virtual/Remote Hearings, which has been translated into multiple languages. His scholarship and thought leadership continue to shape global discussions on innovation and the future of dispute resolution.
Hafez Virjee is the President and a co-Founder of Delos Dispute Resolution and serves as an independent arbitrator at Virjee Arbitration. Dually qualified in England & Wales and Paris, he has close to 20 years’ experience as arbitrator and counsel under the major arbitration rules, across sectors including technology, energy, construction, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, defence, M&A and joint ventures. Hafez has led and contributed to a range of innovations in international arbitration, including through Delos. He takes an active interest in the intersection of arbitration and technology: he taught a CIArb Virtual Diploma module on Technology & AI in international arbitration, speaks on arbitration and technology in academic and professional settings, and has published the first AI skill for arbitration clause design and review (on Lawve AI). Earlier work includes contributions to the use of blockchain, smart contracts and remote hearings in arbitration.
Leith is a Shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s London office focusing on complex international disputes. A member of the ICC UK Arbitration and ADR Committee, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Leith acts as counsel and arbitrator in high-value construction, energy, infrastructure, real estate, technology and investment treaty matters across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Americas. He has advised on disputes and projects spanning more than 40 jurisdictions and is particularly experienced in emerging markets and technology-driven disputes. He is an AI Champion for Greenberg Traurig and serves on the UK Ministry of Justice’s Lawtech UK initiative. He has been a supporting expert at the University of Oxford’s Entrepreneurship Centre and is an alumnus of its Blockchain Strategy Programme, and is co-creator of the Blockchain Expedited Arbitration Rules. Leith is recognised by Legal 500 2026 for international arbitration.
Natalia is an Arbitration Partner at Signature’s London office, having joined Signature in 2013, shortly after its inception. Natalia is a seasoned disputes lawyer with over 20 years of arbitration and litigation experience in complex and high-value international disputes often involving several jurisdictions and multiple parties. She has been ranked in Chambers Global for nearly 10 years. As the AI Lead, Natalia oversees the full cycle of AI implementation at Signature including demos, pilots, adoption, training, internal and client-focused ROI assessment, as well as the broader cultural and knowledge transformation necessary for embedding AI into daily professional practice. Working closely with Signature's Head of IT, CFO and CEO , Natalia drives the firm's approach to maximising both immediate and long-term benefits from AI. Natalia holds a certificate in AI Foundation from the University of Oxford's Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, and a regular writer and speaker on AI developments in the legal industry.
Lucas De Ferrari is a partner in White & Case’s International Arbitration Group, based in Paris. Lucas specializes in commercial and investment arbitration, with a focus on disputes in the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors. Lucas has a particular interest in new technologies and AI, and co-leads AI deployment within White & Case’s international arbitration group. Lucas was also a finalist in the recent GAR-LCIA hackathon.
Thomas Granier, is a founding partner of Anima Dispute Resolution in London and Paris. He has represented clients in arbitrations concerning various sectors, including in respect of the development of AI solutions in the healthcare, energy and logistics sectors and in post-M&A arbitrations in respect of AI companies. He also represents parties in setting aside and enforcement proceedings in France. Trilingual in English, French, and German, he has acted as president, co-arbitrator, and sole arbitrator in ICC, DIS, Delos Dispute Resolution, and ad hoc arbitrations in these three languages. He is a co-chair of the French Arbitration Committee below 40 (CFA 40). He is also a member of the Arbitration Advisory Committee of Delos Dispute Resolution, Vice-President of the Arbitration Court of the Casablanca International Mediation and Arbitration Center, and Vice-President of the Arbitration Committee of the BVI International Arbitration Center. Prior to founding Anima Dispute Resolution, Thomas worked at McDermott Will & Emery and Asafo & Co. He served as Counsel in charge of the ICC International Court of Arbitration Secretariat team, where he administered cases relating to Africa, the Middle East, and France.
Dr. Ghazal Miyar is the Head of Training and Outreach at Delos. She is also an adjunct lecturer at Sciences Po Paris, where she obtained a Ph.D., teaching arbitration and human rights, human rights, and international law. Ghazal is admitted as an attorney to the High Court of South Africa, where she has practiced in the field of dispute resolution for several years, writes on dispute resolution issues under South African law, and obtained her LL.B and LL.M at the University of Pretoria. Ghazal has practical experience applying artificial intelligence tools within legal and arbitral workflows, including legal research, case-file and team management, and procedural support in international dispute resolution.
Beatriz Molinuevo is a Senior Legal Engineer at Legora, a leading AI platform for law firms. She built her legal career in litigation and arbitration, including five years at the Spanish law firm Cuatrecasas, before moving to the intersection of law and technology. She now works with law firms and legal departments across Southern Europe to design and implement AI-enabled workflows, drawing on her legal judgment to help practitioners translate the technology's potential into real, usable output.
Prof. Dr. Maud Piers is an arbitrator, mediator, and Of Counsel at Gantenberg Dispute Experts, as well as Associate Professor at Ghent University, where she directs the Center for the Future of Dispute Resolution. She serves as Vice-President of CEPANI, the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation.
Her practice and research focus on international arbitration, dispute resolution, and the impact of emerging technologies on adjudication, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence. She has published extensively on AI and arbitration, including on the evidentiary challenges posed by deepfakes, the use of AI by arbitrators and counsel, AI governance, and the broader transformation of dispute resolution through digital technologies. She is co-author of several recent publications on AI and arbitration and co-editor of Transforming Arbitration: Exploring the Impact of AI, Blockchain, Metaverse, and Web3 and Arbitration in the Digital Age.
Prof. Piers is actively involved in a number of international initiatives on AI and dispute resolution, including the IBA AI Task Force, the CIArb Technology in ADR Thought Leadership Group, and the VIAC Legal Tech Think Tank. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences and regularly advises and contributes to discussions on the future of AI-enabled arbitration.

Tuuli is the head of Dottir’s dispute resolution department. She holds close to two decades of experience in resolving complex international disputes arising out of a variety of industries, such as technology, energy, construction, and post M&A. Tuuli’s practice focuses on arbitration and other forms of ADR, with a particular emphasis on cross border disputes.
In addition to successfully representing parties in contentious proceedings, Tuuli has extensive experience assisting companies in developing conflict management strategies – from the early stages of a dispute through to its resolution – and supporting them in amicable dispute resolution processes. Indeed, Tuuli has reached settlements in high value disputes through negotiations, mediation and other ADR methods.
Tuuli also regularly sits as arbitrator in commercial arbitrations, both national and international.
Tuuli is a court member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and a former long-standing member of the board of the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce. She is also an Officer of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association.
Prior to joining Dottir in 2024, Tuuli worked in the international arbitration department of White & Case in Paris, Helsinki and New York for a decade. For the years preceding her joining Dottir, Tuuli was the director of disputes at Nokia Technologies, where she managed global disputes and contentious licensing deals arising out of the licensing of a global patent portfolio. Tuuli has authored several publications on the topics of dispute resolution and governing law, and she is a regular speaker on these topics.
Tuuli is recognised by Chambers Global as one of the leading dispute resolution experts in Finland, as well as by Lexology Index for her expertise in arbitration.
Alexandre Vagenheim is VP of Institutional & Legal Affairs at Jus Mundi, where he leads the company's global relations and oversees the development of its AI training programs. Alexandre is a French qualified international arbitration lawyer. Prior to joining Jus Mundi, he represented clients in a wide range of matters involving international commercial arbitration, international investment disputes and French court litigation at the former arbitration practice of Castaldi Mourre & Partners in Paris. In addition to his experience as counsel, Alexandre acted as secretary to arbitral tribunals in international arbitrations as research assistant to the late Prof. Martin Hunter at Essex Court Chambers, London. Alexandre has built a recognized profile at the intersection of international arbitration and artificial intelligence. He serves as a member of the IBA Drafting Committee on the Use of AI Guidelines. He teaches AI and arbitration at Sciences Po and as part of the CIArb Global Diploma program and Dispute Resolution & Artificial Intelligence course of Prof. Maxi Scherer at Queen Mary/ He has developed dedicated AI training courses for leading arbitral institutions, including the DIAC Virtual Academy, SIAC, CMAP, and others. He is also the driving force behind Jus Mundi's educational partnerships on AI including collaborations with the Vis Moot and Vis East. He is the author of numerous publications in the fields of international business law and arbitration law.
Rory Wheeler is an Avocat at the Paris Bar and a Solicitor of England & Wales with a practice dedicated to international arbitration. After obtaining an MBA from INSEAD, Rory founded rory.legal in 2020 to gather an agile team of dual-qualified arbitration lawyers. As the rise of AI changes the ways in which his firm and clients work, Rory investigates AI's mid-term systemic impacts on national and transnational legal systems.

Marie Nesvik is a partner at Wikborg Rein, where she co-heads the dispute resolution department and specialises in commercial arbitration and cross-border litigation. In addition to her counsel work, she is regularly appointed as arbitrator. She is a member of the ICC Court and the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. In 2021, she was admitted to the Supreme Court of Norway. Marie holds a PhD in private international law and has published extensively within this field of law, as well as within arbitration. She teaches at the University of Oslo and frequently speaks at arbitration events, including on AI-related issues.

Amany is a Counsel at Signature Litigation in Paris. She has over 10 years' experience in international arbitration, representing clients in ICC, ICSID and ad hoc arbitrations. Amany also appears before the Paris Court of Appeal and other French courts in matters related to the recognition and annulment of arbitral awards. Amany’s experience primarily lies in energy, defence, telecoms, tech, as well as M&A disputes. In addition to her practice as counsel, Amany acts as arbitrator. She is a member of the Board of Directors and Arbitration Committee of the Association Francaise d’Arbitrage, and as Vice-President to the Paris Arbitration Week Organizing Committee. Prior to joining Signature, Amany worked in several law firms in Paris and as Deputy Counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC Court. Amany holds a Masters' degree in French and German business law and a LL.M. in Business law of Arab countries. Amany speaks Arabic, English, French and German.
Gillian (“Gilly”) Forsyth is a Senior Associate at Eversheds Sutherland in Paris, where she specialises in international arbitration and public international law. English-law qualified with over ten years’ experience, she has acted in high-value commercial and investment treaty disputes across the TMT and energy sectors in ad-hoc arbitrations as well as before the ICC and ICSID. She is a member of the ICC Task Force on AI in Arbitration, and is currently studying strategy and innovation at MIT Sloan School of Management. In 2024 she founded Deep Lex, a non-profit organisation dedicated to educating the legal community about artificial intelligence and raising awareness of emerging regulation and disputes. The platform tracks AI litigation and regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions, making complex, fast-moving material accessible to practitioners.
Guy MacInnes-Manby is a Senior Associate in the International Arbitration Group of Freshfields LLP. Currently based in London, he has previously worked in the firm’s Paris office. Guy works on a variety commercial and investment treaty arbitrations as well as arbitration-related claims in the English courts. He has been an early adopter of AI tools, frequently taking part in trials of new tools, and he has delivered training to lawyers all levels of the firm on how to incorporate AI into their practice. Guy recently delivered a seminar to LLM students from NYU and LSE on Navigating AI in Arbitration and has also written a number of articles on the subject of arbitration and AI: AI and international arbitration – watching brief #1: the current landscape | Freshfields; The virtual witness stand: AI's new role in arbitration advocacy | Freshfields; and AI’s industrial revolution: A new frontier for disputes | Freshfields.

Nino Sievi is a partner at Nater Dallafior in Zurich and a triple-qualified disputes lawyer (Switzerland, Germany, and England & Wales). He represents clients in complex commercial disputes before arbitral tribunals (ICC, Swiss Rules, DIS, ad hoc) and Swiss courts, and sits as arbitrator in international proceedings. His work spans banking, post-M&A, commodities, construction, FinTech, and technology matters, with particular recognition for his expertise in crypto and blockchain disputes. At the intersection of arbitration and technology, Nino is a member of the IBA task force drafting guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence in arbitration. He speaks and publishes regularly on AI in dispute resolution. He also serves as a member of the Swiss "Justitia 4.0" expert group leading the digitization of the Swiss justice system, and is Co-Chair of ASA below 40.
Dee Swarna is a Senior Associate at Seladore Legal, practicing international arbitration and complex cross-border commercial litigation. Her practice spans investor-state and commercial arbitration across major institutional rules (including ICSID, UNCITRAL, HKIAC, SIAC, LCIA and ICC) and complex commercial litigation, with experience across the financial services, technology, energy and infrastructure sectors. She is interested in the intersection of law and technology, AI in legal practice, and how lawyers can build and use tools that are reliable, verifiable, and fit for high-stakes work. Dee is an Assistant Editor (Technology) at the Kluwer Arbitration Blog and a member of LegalQuants (an invite-only community of lawyers who build their own tech to practice law).

Alastair Livesey is Counsel (Solicitor-Advocate) in A&O Shearman’s International Disputes practice in London, where he focuses on complex, business-critical international disputes, including major international arbitrations and multi-jurisdictional litigation across a wide range of sectors and legal systems. He has particular experience in disputes involving allegations of fraud, corruption, regulatory breaches and rights violations, and he regularly advises clients on strategic responses to crisis situations and board-level legal and compliance risks. Alastair is a member of A&O Shearman’s Disputes AI Steering Group and regularly trains clients and colleagues on AI-related issues. He has written and spoken on the use of AI in international arbitration, including the opportunities for AI to create efficiencies in factual and legal research, document review and analytics, and the preparation of first-draft documents and summaries, as well as the need to manage risks around hallucinations, undetected errors, bias, confidentiality, data security and emerging regulation. His recent AI-related commentary emphasises that AI can deliver substantial efficiencies in international arbitration, but only where it is deployed appropriately and with expert oversight across the disputes lifecycle. Alongside his client work, Alastair is Co-Chair of the Implementation Task Force for the Campaign for Greener Arbitration, Co-Convenor for the EMEA chapter of Delos Arbitration’s advanced oral advocacy training programme, and a member of the Rising Arbitrators Initiative. He also maintains an active pro bono and public-interest practice, including senior roles with several law reform and human rights organisations.

He takes an active interest in the intersection of arbitration and technology: he taught a CIArb Virtual Diploma module on Technology & AI in international arbitration, speaks on arbitration and technology in academic and professional settings, and has published the first AI skill for arbitration clause design and review (on Lawve AI). Earlier work includes contributions to the use of blockchain, smart contracts and remote hearings in arbitration.
