RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT & PROGRAMMES INTERN
India, part-time self-employed, native English
Who are we?
Delos Dispute Resolution (Delos) is an independent arbitral institution. It was established in 2014 to respond to the needs of businesses globally for time and cost efficiency in the resolution of disputes through arbitration.
In plain English: we help to resolve international commercial disputes, and we’re on a mission to do so better, quicker, at a lower cost. We are a cross between a start-up and an international organisation – demanding on quality and professionalism, in a fun, caring and open global environment. We are looking for a new team member and, in joining us, you will have plenty of scope to grow, create and develop!
What role?
As a Research, Development & Programmes (“RDP”) Intern, you will have three main areas of work, on the basis of 15hrs work per week outside of exam periods:
- RESEARCH
You will be involved in legal research and analysis and drafting generally for practitioner articles for the Delos leadership.
- DEVELOPMENT
Delos is keen to develop its presence in India, and you will be supporting Delos’s leadership in this endeavour. A significant part of your work will build on what we have done, and expanding.
- PROGRAMMES
You will be supporting the Delos team with the day-to-day administration of our leading training programmes.
Who are you?
Aside from the philosophical question, you are sharp, independent and proactive; you are fun, caring and thrive in a multicultural environment. You are ambitious to contribute and be part of an entrepreneurial adventure, and you have plenty of common sense. You are thoughtful, reflective, and can also switch gears when speed is needed. You learn fast and have an eerie level of attention to detail. Your writing and communications skills are excellent, and your level of written and spoken English is of the standard of a native.
In addition, you are studying for or have just completed your law degree in India; and you have experience in international arbitration and an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
This is a remote role based in India. We would like you to start on 2 December 2024, for a minimum of 3 months, subject to adjustments as needed.
Why join us?
This is a great opportunity for legal practice skills development: professional drafting, rigour, attention to detail, organisation, working as part of a team, 'client' management, and more.
We’re also offering the chance to make a difference within Delos and on a regional and global scale. The team culture is collegiate, we care, and personal growth is important. We work to the standards of a solid legal practice and are keen on mentoring and training. You will be surrounded by brilliant people, lovely people, passionate people; and you will gain exposure to market leaders. This is a great opportunity to develop your professional network.
You will of course be paid, commensurate with your experience, and receive free access to Delos’s membership platform and to exclusive Delos events. There may also be opportunities to publish on the Delos website and/or together with members of Delos’s leadership team.
