DELOS-Y @ LIDW 2019

AS PART OF THE LONDON INTERNATIONAL DISPUTES WEEK (LIDW) 2019, DELOS-Y HELD THE FIRST LONDON EDITION OF ITS INNOVATIVE BREAKFAST EVENT

This innovative event format gives the floor to a new generation of arbitration practitioners, typically referred to as ‘mid-levels’, so that they may share their experience with the youngest members of the community and provide perspective on the early stages of a career in international arbitration. The event has been designed for master’s level students, interns and trainees who are considering a career in international arbitration, to give them the opportunity to meet with mid-level practitioners at some of the most prestigious practices, ranging from the large international firms to boutiques.

The speakers at the event were Pauline Depinay of White & Case, Alexander Fawke of Linklaters, Tim Flamank of Squire Patton Boggs, Harriet Foster of Vinson & Elkins, Marion Lespiau of Grant Thornton, John McMillan of WilmerHale, Jagdish Menezes of Quinn Emanuel, Gemma Read of Stewarts Law, Sarah Shipton of Grant Thornton, Marco De Sousa of Herbert Smith Freehills, Sonja Sreckovic of Debevoise & Plimpton and David Turner of Hogan Lovells. They addressed the following two topics in the group discussions:
