DELOS – INSTITUTIONAL OVERVIEW
DELOS is an independent, non-profit arbitration institution that administers international commercial arbitrations worldwide under the DELOS Rules of Arbitration.
DELOS provides a neutral institutional framework for the resolution of commercial disputes across jurisdictions, industries, and legal traditions. Arbitrations administered by DELOS may be seated anywhere and governed by any applicable law.
WHAT DELOS DOES
DELOS administers arbitrations in accordance with the DELOS Rules of Arbitration, providing administrative support and procedural oversight throughout the proceedings.
DELOS also develops practical tools and resources designed to support arbitration users, including:
- Model arbitration clauses in multiple languages

- Training programmes focused on practical arbitration skills
- One of the world’s largest collections of arbitration video content
- The Paris Arbitration Centre by Delos, a dedicated hearing facility
WHAT DELOS IS NOT
DELOS is not a professional association, trade body, or membership organisation.
Membership in DELOS is not required to:
- Include a DELOS arbitration clause in a contract
- Commence or participate in arbitration under the DELOS Rules
- Act as counsel, arbitrator, or party in a DELOS-administered arbitration
Arbitrations under the DELOS Rules are administered independently of membership status.
DELOS AND OTHER ARBITRATION INSTITUTIONS
Like other established arbitration institutions such as the ICC, LCIA, SIAC and HKIAC, DELOS administers arbitrations under its own arbitration rules.
Parties may choose DELOS as the administering institution when drafting arbitration clauses for international contracts.
